Xiaomi had already introduced one flagship smartphone this year, the Mi 5. This smartphone landed back in February during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, and it has been available for purchase for quite some time now. That being said, Xiaomi is planning to introduce yet another flagship soon, the Mi Note 2. The Mi Note 2 is actually the company’s upcoming flagship phablet, and a direct successor to the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro devices which were announced back in January last year.

We’ve already seen tons of Mi Note 2 rumors, including the one that landed yesterday and revealed quite a few details regarding all upcoming Mi Note 2 variants. Well, today we have yet another piece of the Mi Note 2 puzzle to share with you. If you take a look at the image above, you’ll get to see the alleged Mi Note 2 in the flesh, well, its front panel that is. Now, this is a front panel with a curved display, on both sides, and according to rumors, it belongs to the most expensive variant of the Mi Note 2. As you can see, there is a cutout for a physical home button, or at least a capacitive home button which will double as a fingerprint scanner. Chances are Xiaomi is planning to include a physical key here though, just like they did on the Mi 5. This device will resemble both the Galaxy S7 Edge and the Galaxy Note 7 it seems, not only does it have a curved display on the sides, but it also comes with a physical home key.

This variant of the Mi Note 2 will, allegedly, sport a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 821, and a two 12-megapixel shooter will, allegedly doing to be available on its back. The Type-C USB 3.0 port will be located on the bottom of the Mi Note 2, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come out of the box with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 OS on top of it. The most expensive variant of the Mi Note 2, the one mentioned here, is rumored to cost 3,499 Yuan ($526), and it will either launch at the end of this month, or on September 5th, as one rumor mentioned.
