Apple confirms the arrival of third-party applications Google Maps and Waze in its CarPlay auto system.
The announcement was made at the Worldwide Developers Conference. CarPlay opens to more third-party applications. Concretely, this means that Apple will allow applications like Waze or Google Maps to join its system for connected cars.

Since its origin, the Apple CarPlay system is extremely controlled, even locked. Impossible for the editors of applications to take their place on the interface smartphone - dashboard of the Californian giant. Nevertheless, the catalog of applications begins gradually to open. Now music streaming fans can access Spotify or Pandora from CarPlay.
After the announcement of the WWDC (link in English), new applications will be able to be grafted on the automobile interface of Apple. In terms of navigation, this is the leap for the company, which allows two flagship services of its major competitor: Waze and Google Maps. Hard for Apple to compete longer with the formidable efficiency of Google in the field of navigation.
